No Surprises Act
Under healthcare law, providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
This “Good Faith Estimate” serves as a 12-month estimate for services to be rendered based on the information gathered with your therapist. An additional good faith estimate can be provided to you upon your request: (1) at the end of the 12-month period (2) if your service type/frequency changes.
For more information about the No Surprises Act or Good Faith Estimate, call 1-877-696-6775 or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
