Pronouns: She/Her/Ella

As a queer, Latina, and immigrant therapist, I believe my clients’ individuality is unique, important, and above all a strength and an asset. I embrace my roots and ancestry, my intersectionalities and lived experiences as they have been my initial educators and guides. I am a sex-positive, affirming sex therapist and work with individual and relationship clients in the Poly, Kink, 2SLGBTQIA+, and Culturally marginalized communities. My core belief is that most of our struggles come from the incongruity between who/how/what we believe we should be and our authentic selves. These incongruities can negatively impact our self-perception, relationships, sexuality, health, and spirituality.

My approach to psychotherapy is an eclectic mix that is personalized for each client as no client is the same, but rooted in psychodynamic modality. My approach is geared to help you uncover how your past (including generational) influences your current behavior and belief system. Understanding how your past is connected to your present gives you the power to choose the shape of your future.

In the therapeutic role, my first goal is to establish a brave space as a solid foundation for the work ahead. I honor and highly value the vulnerability and courage it takes to seek a psychotherapist and will work diligently to help create an environment where you feel welcome, heard, accepted, and validated first and foremost. My experience in working with the under-served populations, as well as domestic violence and hospice, provide me with a richly multifaceted and informed approach to therapy.

I use the same approach in consultant and supervisory roles. I enjoy consulting and supervising as much as I enjoy being a sex therapist. One of my biggest passions is to use any of the wisdom I have gained in service to others in any way that shows up. I was born hungry for learning and am humbled in knowing that what I do know is a mere speck of what there is to learn in this world.

If you are struggling to connect more deeply to your inner experience and live a more congruent and satisfying life, I can help. If you’re looking to consult on any of the above, or are looking for a supervisor toward your LCPC, I would be elated to be on that journey with you.

Lily’s Services

  • Individual or Relationship Therapy

One on one therapy & counseling. Couple’s or other constellation therapy. I work with individuals, couples and multi-partner relationships to unpack and work through emotional injuries. I work with individuals and relationships struggling with or curious about consensual non-monogamy, working through ruptures in trust, discrepancy in desires, coping and adjusting with loss or transition, expanding their sex lives, and enhancing communication. I also work with individuals and relationships navigating cultural and identity conflicts.

  • Sex Therapy

Sex therapy is Talk therapy with the focus on the bio-psycho-social (biological, psychological, and social) factors. Individuals and relationship clients come in for a multitude of concerns including, but not limited to sexuality, sexual identity, sexual function and health, sexual trauma, intimacy, and relational concerns.

I see a healthy sexuality as dancing freely. When you’re dancing freely every part of you is consumed by the feeling. There is no right or wrong, there is no overthinking, no judgment or shame, there is only pleasure. You can dance alone, you can dance with one partner, you can dance with multiple partners, but no one is expected to dance exactly the same. If we tune into ourselves and each other, we are able to learn to become in sync and still remain individuals.
